Join a Friendly and Supportive Construction Team at a Renowned City Law Firm

We are seeking to add a talented construction lawyer to our highly regarded City law firm, renowned for its collegiate environment and supportive culture. The successful candidate will join a busy, thriving team within a larger real estate practice comprising over 20 lawyers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a diverse caseload of predominantly non-contentious and some contentious construction work.
  2. Draft and negotiate a comprehensive range of construction documentation, including contracts, professional appointments, development agreements, agreements for lease, guarantees, bonds, and collateral warranties.
  3. Assist with Building Safety Fund and Developer Remediation Contract matters; experience or interest in these areas is desirable but not essential.
Work Scope and Collaboration

The team handles both residential and commercial construction projects, acting for contractors, developers, architects, and high-net-worth individuals. The work is varied and dynamic. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, mutual support, and cross-referrals with other departments such as real estate and property litigation. Lawyers are empowered with responsibility, autonomy, and the resources needed for professional growth.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a construction lawyer with 2 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in construction law. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, including those considering a return to private practice from in-house roles, Australian and New Zealand qualified lawyers practicing in the UK for at least 12 months, and regional lawyers interested in working for a London-based firm.
