Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Manchester who are looking for a Construction Associate to join their team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Drafting and reviewing contracts between contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
  2. Resolving disputes related to delays, payments, defects, or safety.
  3. Advising clients on legal issues like zoning, permits, and regulations.
  4. Representing clients in court for construction-related disputes.
  5. Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and building codes.
  6. Managing risks to avoid legal issues and potential lawsuits.
  7. Conducting legal research and preparing documents like memos and briefs.
  8. Collaborating with industry professionals to solve legal problems during projects.
  9. Opportunities to work on a diverse workload, including engineering plants (e.g., energy and power), process plants in manufacturing, and built infrastructure.

The successful candidate:

  1. NQ - 2 years PQE with a track record in non-contentious Construction law.
  2. Ability and enthusiasm to take initiative and deliver high-quality work.
  3. Experience within a well-recognised international, national, or regional practice.
  4. Great team player with strong client skills.
