Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Construction Site Manager located in Berwick. The Assistant Site Manager will support the daily operations of construction sites, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities include planning, managing site activities, cost control and coordinating with sub-contractors. The role involves regular site inspections, compliance with building regulations, and ensuring that project specifications are met.

• Proficiency in construction management software and tools - COINS
• Relevant certifications or a degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus

Role Purpose:

To assist the Site Manager in their duties to manage and co-ordinate the day to day activities on site, running projects from inception to contractual handover

Duties and Responsibilities:

· To successfully assist in the delivery of new build and refurbishment construction projects, safely, to the specified quality, on time and to budget.

·Develop a close working partnership with the Quantity Surveyor to enable accurate reporting on the current and projected financial status of schemes as well as identifying any contractual or commercial risks

· To ensure adherence to and monitor health and safety procedures and documentation on site in compliance with current health and safety policy and legislation.

· Ensure segregation of “build areas” from handed over “purchaser areas” at all times.

· Ensure sites are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation appropriate to that of a large regional housebuilder.

· Monitor material stocks on site and assist the Site Manager with requisition of materials and plant through the Buyer in a timely manner to allow procurement to meet the construction programme.

·Effective liaison with Head Office departments, on-site Sales Executives, Subcontract suppliers and external Clients.

·Ensure all snagging and post entry snagging is completed on time and that Ascent Homes Customer Care Department are kept updated on a weekly basis

· To foster and encourage equality of opportunity and adhere to data protection requirements.

· The act as the principal site supervisor in the event of Site Manager absence i.e. annual leave.
