Job summary

ScottishPower in Kilmarnock is seeking a Construction Assistant to support delivery of minor and major works at customer sites. You will liaise with customers and contractors to completion, keep customers informed and help meet targets while prioritising safety and quality.

You’ll work with the Project Management team to ensure designs comply with requirements and assist in coordinating internal and external teams across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling/delivering or planning construction works.
• Strong customer-focused skills.
• Electrical knowledge beneficial.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Construction Assistant, you will visit a variety of minor and major project works streams, liaising with customers and contractors to completion of works at customer’s premises as well as major construction sites supporting the businesses customer service responsibilities with enquiries and complaints. You’ll assist in the delivery of minor and major work volumes that are scheduled in a timely fashion as per targets, keeping customers fully informed throughout.

• Liase with customers maintaining a high degree of care and professionalism to schedule works/appointments and provide customer updates.
• Liaise with planned delivery teams over a variety of sites/works each day.
• Work towards a zero-accident culture and lead by example.
• Help maintain a safe and secure network.
• Ensure project designs comply with Company and statutory requirements and update the business on required changes as they arise, working with the Project Management team.
• Provide interface with contractors and internal businesses to assist in the delivery of projects.
• Attendance at monthly team meetings.
