Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Kilmarnock is seeking a Construction Assistant to support delivery across minor and major works. You will liaise with customers and contractors, schedule activities and help keep projects on track while maintaining safety and quality.

You will be part of a delivery team reporting to Head of Delivery, with a focus on customer service, planning, and site coordination within Ayrshire & Clyde South district.

Qualifications

  • Experience scheduling/delivering or planning construction works of any nature.
  • Strong customer-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work safely and autonomously while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Visit minor and major project works streams liaising with customers and contractors to complete works at customers' premises and sites.
  • Support delivery of work volumes in a timely fashion, keeping customers informed throughout.
  • Work closely with project managers/operational team to manage delivery, hazards and enquiries.
  • Schedule works/appointments and provide customer updates, maintaining safety and quality.
  • Attend monthly team meetings and coordinate with delivery teams across sites.

We know people are central to building a better future, quicker, and we are seeking new talent to join our team in the Ayrshire & Clyde South District.***What you’ll be doing***As a Construction Assistant, you will visit a variety of minor and major project works streams, liaising with customers and contractors to completion of works at customer’s premises as well as major construction sites supporting the businesses customer service responsibilities with enquiries and complaints. You’ll assist in the delivery of minor and major work volumes that are scheduled in a timely fashion as per targets, keeping customers fully informed throughout.The Construction Assistant role will work closely with a team of construction project managers /operational support team members to collectively manage delivery of projects, district hazards, complaints and general enquiries.
