Job description

NOCN Group is seeking a freelance End Point Assessor with experience in the Construction sector to conduct assessments for the Construction Assembly and Installation Operative apprenticeship Standard.

Location and Contract Details

Location: Remote, with site visits required

Hours: Worker Contract, Freelance

Ideal candidates include assessors with experience as Concrete Finishers or Precast Installers.

Purpose and Objectives

• Ensure End Point Assessments are conducted independently and adhere to NOCN's quality assurance standards.
• Complete assessments according to the assessment plan and prescribed instruments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess apprentices against Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours through online tests, observations, questioning, and interviews, supported by their portfolios.
• Upload assessment reports promptly, in line with NOCN's service level agreements.
• Prepare for assessments efficiently and identify gaps in apprentices' KSBs.
• Build rapport with apprentices to facilitate their performance.
• Maintain current knowledge through ongoing CPD relevant to the subject area.
• Represent NOCN professionally during assessments.
• Follow GDPR practices and ensure data security.

Key Requirements

• Essential: Slinger and Signaller experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in construction assembly and installation.
• Recent sector experience at a level above that of the apprentice, or demonstrated current knowledge through CPD.
• Working towards or holding an assessor qualification such as TAQA, CAVA, or A1.
