Doncaster College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Construction and the Built Environment to deliver high-quality teaching across our T Level and further/higher education programmes. About The Role

You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, developing curriculum content, and supporting learners across a range of construction-related courses. You’ll also contribute to course leadership, assessment, and quality assurance, ensuring students are equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the built environment sector.

Essential Criteria

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

  • A HNC/HND or degree in Construction Management or equivalent industry experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the construction field
  • Experience in a lecturing or training role within FE or HE
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and internal quality processes
  • Strong ICT skills and the ability to use digital tools in teaching

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess a range of construction and built environment courses
  • Develop curriculum materials and contribute to subject area development
  • Lead or support course teams and ensure effective programme delivery
  • Support student recruitment, guidance, and progression
  • Participate in quality assurance, course verification, and curriculum planning
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to departmental improvement
