The Role: Construction and Development Project Director
Sector: Property - Hotels

I am very excited to be working with this client! They are synonymous with the creation of exemplary experiences in stunning venues. They are embarking on a period of expansion, and to support this, we are looking for a dynamic Construction and Development Project Director to join them.

This role is diverse, requiring a strong Property and Construction professional with skills covering the full spectrum from pre-construction to post-completion. You should be comfortable working with contractors and be an integral part of the operations team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for technical detail, and enjoy both the creative and managerial aspects of project delivery. Experience with high-end, luxury lifestyle hotel projects will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and delivery of hotel construction projects from inception to handover
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and detailed timelines involving all stakeholders
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and CDM regulations
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams
  • Provide project updates and reports to senior management
  • Maintain quality, safety, and sustainability standards
  • Travel to project sites as needed

The successful candidate will have extensive technical expertise, with experience delivering large-scale hotel schemes in the UK and Europe. They should have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy engaging in the creative aspects of projects.
