Job summary

Office Angels is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager for a growing construction company in Romford. You will support day-to-day financial operations, manage the sales ledger, liaise with customers, and assist with VAT returns.

The role reports to the Finance Director, requires Sage 50 experience, and offers 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, on-site parking, and study support. Salary £40,000–£43,000 per annum, 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Accounts Manager or senior accounts within construction.
• Proficiency with Sage 50 and standard accounting processes.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily financial processes across the business.
• Process and maintain the sales ledger and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare journals for management accounts and assist with VAT returns.
• Monitor project costs with Contract Managers and support cash flow reporting.
• Provide cover for colleagues and support wider team accounting duties.
