Job summary

The Tamar Valley National Landscape team at Cornwall Council invites applications for a Project Officer to help develop, deliver and monitor a portfolio of conservation and community projects in Gunnislake and the Tamar Valley.

You will work with partners and stakeholders to secure funding, manage budgets, monitor outcomes and report on progress against the Tamar Valley National Landscape Management Plan, while supporting education and access initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent in environmental management, conservation, geography, countryside management, heritage, rural development or related discipline.
• Experience of developing and delivering projects within environmental, conservation, heritage, community or rural development sectors.
• Experience of working with multiple stakeholders and developing productive partnerships.
• Experience of managing budgets, procurement and project reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of nature conservation, landscape management, environmental policy or rural issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage projects from concept to delivery, ensuring funding, budgets and reporting requirements are met.
• Engage with stakeholders and partners to secure external funding and monitor outcomes.
• Support Tamar Valley National Landscape Management Plan and contribute to partnerships.
• Plan and deliver events and activities across themes such as nature recovery and heritage conservation.
• Support community engagement and environmental education.
