Job summary

The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) invites applications for a full-time fixed-term role in conservation. You will implement conservation activities under the direction of the Conservation Manager (Field Operations) and deliver targeted project work to support conservation science and project management skills.

Qualifications

Degree-level qualification in ecology or related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of native species and ecological processes.
Understanding of animal welfare, handling, and biosecurity in field work.

Responsibilities

Lead or contribute to conservation activities for native species in the wild under the Conservation Manager.
Conduct field surveys, gather data, write reports and contribute to publications.
Plan and execute biodiversity actions and risk assessments for field work.
Engage with stakeholders and partners at meetings.
Assist with logistics, project reporting and data management.
