Conservation Architect Job in Central London


A growing practice in Central London is seeking Conservation Architects to join their team! With several long-term conservation projects underway, this role offers not only the chance to work on remarkable projects but also an excellent work-life balance, clear career progression, and a supportive, employee-focused environment!


With an expanding office and a growing portfolio in the high-end London market, they are now seeking Conservation Architects holding RIBA, SCA, CA accreditation or AABC registration.


Regularly featured in industry and lifestyle publications, their portfolio spans stunning historical buildings, private homes, commercial properties, and interiors across the UK and internationally.


Role & Responsibilities

  1. To work on bespoke, high-end conservation and heritage projects throughout London and the UK
  2. Projects are varied and these will include historical buildings, London estates, large country estates, grade-listed buildings, and more
  3. Working across all RIBA stages with an initial focus on stage 4 through to completion
  4. Speaking with and dealing with clients, including site visits and surveys
  5. Carry out project research
  6. Lead and manage small project teams on various conservation projects
  7. Report to the Associate Directors on project progress
  8. Produce high-quality design and technical drawings, with detailed joinery fittings in a traditional style

Required Skills & Experience

  1. Experience in bespoke detailing on traditional, high end or classical projects
  2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  3. Must have relevant UK project experience
  4. Part III qualified with a conservation accreditation - RIBA, SCA, CA, or AABC registration
  5. Contract administration and technical knowledge
  6. Passion for classical and traditional architecture
  7. Experience in the preservation and refurbishment of historic buildings
  8. Experience using ArchiCAD would be beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided

  1. Salary of £40,000 - £55,000 DOE
  2. 21 days of holiday, plus bank holidays and discretionary leave over Christmas
  3. No staff are expected to work overtime, but if offered, they will pay this at an increased rate
