Conservation Architect Job in North Oxfordshire

Our client, a RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice, has a Conservation Architect job available to join their team in North Oxfordshire. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of conservation projects, from private residential properties to some of Britain's most iconic landmarks.

The practice's conservation portfolio features high-level and varied projects across the UK, including Cathedrals, schools, Grade I listed residential buildings, and high-profile national landmarks, including retrofit work.

Based in the Oxfordshire countryside, they are seeking dedicated Conservation Architects, either already accredited or working towards accreditation, who are passionate about preserving and restoring historic buildings. This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled and enthusiastic team, working on some of the country's most significant heritage projects. They are also open to candidates looking to relocate - perfect for those committed to a career in conservation architecture.



Role & Responsibilities

  • Working on conservation projects
  • Taking projects across all stages from concept to completion across all RIBA stages
  • Communicating with clients
  • Opportunity to work directly with English heritage
  • Offer guidance and direction to other project members
  • Using Vectorworks on a daily basis
  • The company will also be interested in candidates interested in progressing into management roles.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of UK project experience
  • Experience working across all RIBA stages
  • UK Conservation project experience is essential
  • Passion for conservation is essential
  • AABC Accreditation is highly beneficial- but the practice will support applicants seeking to gain this
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks would be beneficial but full training will be given
  • Due to location, you will require your own transport.
