Outwood Academy Kirkby places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development. We believe that all support staff within our Family of Schools are key posts in securing student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences.

We are proud that Outwood Academy Kirkby is rated within the top 1% nationally for academic transformation based on our 2024 outcomes and are following an upward trajectory. We became part of the Outwood Family of Schools in 2022 and, as a member, we prioritize putting students first, raising standards, and transforming lives.

Our ongoing development includes building a new state-of-the-art academy facility, providing the best environment for students and staff. We are a welcoming and supportive academy committed to delivering excellent education for every child, fostering a culture of success and a positive climate for learning.

Part of a large Trust of over 40 schools, we operate within learning communities across Nottinghamshire and Sheffield. Our community executive, Carolyn Blundell, emphasizes our vision and collaborative approach, which the successful applicant will be a key part of.

Joining us means influencing the lives of over 6,000 young people, shaping their futures through raising standards and transforming lives. You will be part of a supportive network of four Outwood academies, engaging in joint senior team meetings, learning walks, working with local businesses, and developing mechanisms for working with parents. We foster a culture of sharing best practices and offer world-class professional development for staff.
