Job summary

Dalcour Maclaren is seeking a Consents & Liaison Officer to coordinate access across landowners, contractors and clients for major utilities and infrastructure projects. You will manage notices, consents and reinstatement planning while maintaining strong client updates and documentation.

The role requires hands-on site liaison, a full UK driving licence and a proactive, organised approach to project delivery, with a focus on professional representation and efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage liaison activities with clients, contractors, landowners, farmers, occupiers and other stakeholders in support of client objectives.
  • Arrange access to private land.
  • Serve notices.
  • Obtain agreements/consents and evidence condition of land before entry.
  • Advise and agree reinstatement of land and handle agricultural loss claims.
  • Engage with landowners on site and project teams to project a professional image.
  • Coordinate with project teams on site and provide regular client updates.
  • Maintain good record keeping and ensure accurate billing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, contracts and policies.
  • Provide constructive line management to direct reports and support training.

Consents & Liaison Officer - Responsibilities
  • Manage liaison activities with clients, contractors, landowners, farmers, occupiers and other stakeholders in support of client objectives
  • Arrange access to private land
  • Serving notices
  • Obtain agreements/consents, evidencing condition of land before entry
  • Advise and agree reinstatement of land and deal with agricultural loss claims
  • Ensure the team proactively engages with landowners and occupiers on site as required projecting a professional image of the client and DM
  • Work closely with the project teams, often operating from the project/client site
  • Ensure all parties are kept updated and report on requirements by working closely with key stakeholders and their subcontractors, providing client updates through IT systems and meetings
  • Ensure good record keeping in the team to monitor and review progress, provide regular client updates and ensure accurate billing
  • Carry out work in compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements and policies
  • Support and provide constructive line management to own direct reports, engaging in regular progress review and feedback meetings and delegating tasks effectively
  • Maintain and improve own knowledge and skills through company run training
