Job summary

EDAG is seeking a Connectivity Engineer to support cross-functional teams in delivering telematics and connectivity components for automotive platforms. You will plan and execute hardware and software requirements to ensure on-time delivery, and perform ECU testing throughout the V cycle.

The role requires strong knowledge of vehicle E/E systems, familiarity with CAN/LIN/FlexRay, and experience with ECU software development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in automotive, electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle E/E systems.
• Experience in Automotive Lifecycle, Product Delivery and technical problem solving.
• Knowledge of automotive vehicle systems and architectures.
• Familiar with CAN, LIN, FlexRay communication protocols.
• Familiar with ISO 21434, UNECE R144, R155 & R156, ISO26262 and ISO14229 (UDS).
• Understanding of eCall requirements and implementation.
• Knowledge of OTA and remote diagnostics.
• Understanding of WiFi 802.11, 4G/5G communications.
• Experience in ECU software development for telematics/infotainment.
• Knowledge of software stacks (Microsar) and MISRA C.
• Experience with requirements management tools (Polarion, DOORS).

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional teams to ensure quality and performance of Telematics/Connectivity components.
• Plan, monitor, and execute hardware/software requirements for on-time delivery.
• Develop, implement, and test requirements through the V Cycle.
• Perform functional and diagnostic testing of ECUs.

Job Description

As a Connectivity Engineer you will support and liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and performance of Telematics and Connectivity components and systems. You will also plan, monitor, and execute development of hardware and software requirements to guarantee on-time project delivery.

This includes development, implementation and testing of requirements throughout the V Cycle. They are also able to perform functional and diagnostic testing of the electronic control units (ECUs). Additionally, industry best practices and trends should be employed during the development process. This includes adherence to UNECE Regulations and Standards which should be followed to ensure successful homologation (UNR144, 155 & 156 etc.).

Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in automotive, electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification
• Good overall vehicle E/E systems knowledge
• Experience in Automotive Lifecycle, Product Delivery and technical problem solving
• Knowledge of automotive vehicle systems and architectures
• Familiar with Application Software development and network communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
• Knowledge of Industry standards and regulations such as ISO 21434, UNECE R144, R155 & R156, ISO26262 and ISO14229 (UDS).
• Understanding of eCall requirements and implementation
• Knowledge of OTA, Remote diagnostics and other connected topics
• Understanding of communication protocols such as WiFi 802.11, 4G LTE, 5G etc.
• Experience in the field of software development for ECUs, specifically for telematics and infotainment systems
• Knowledge of Software stacks, Microsar, MISRA C is a plus.
• Experience with requirements management tools (Polarion, Doors, etc.)
