The network delivery group is responsible for the fulfilment of connectivity services to members and customers, the build of core Janet infrastructure, and the ongoing management of Jisc’s portfolio of connectivity services. The connections group is primarily responsible for the first of these areas, fulfilment of connectivity services to members and customers.

The primary focus of the connections function is to work with Jisc members, Jisc staff and network suppliers to provide connectivity and services across the Janet network.

  • Work with suppliers, network engineers, project managers and customers/members to plan, capture and complete a complex series of tasks.
  • Act as communication point between customers and suppliers to gather and disseminate project information and updates.
  • Ensure project activities are accurately recorded in the relevant information systems.
What we are looking for:

  • Familiarity with SLAs/OLAs would be ideal.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Well organised with a methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to analyse information and anticipate problems.

Specific patterns for working in the office are not mandated, and the frequency of time worked in the office is agreed with your manager. Meeting in person is something we value so you may need to travel on occasion to any of our hub offices.
