Birmingham City Council is recruiting Development Officers to deliver the new Connected Communities offer across multiple Birmingham locality areas. You will work with residents, community groups and partners to design inclusive activities that respond to local needs, improve health and wellbeing, and strengthen community resilience.

• Community engagement, development, or partnership work.
• Building relationships with residents, volunteers, Friends Groups, community groups and partner organisations.
• Delivering projects or service improvements that make a positive difference.
• Facilitating engagement, consultation, or co-production activities.
• Working across organisational boundaries to achieve shared outcomes.
• Using insight and data to inform decision-making and service development.
• Supporting inclusion and tackling barriers faced by disadvantaged or underrepresented communities.
• Communicating confidently with a wide range of audiences and stakeholders.

• Develop and grow the Connected Communities offer in your locality.
• Work with residents, community groups and partners to create inclusive opportunities.
• Ensure Connected Communities hubs are welcoming spaces for access to support and skill development.
• Encourage volunteering and community participation across Connected Communities hubs.
• Identify opportunities for new partnerships, funding and service development.
• Gather community insight and feedback to shape and improve services.
