Location: Homebased in the UK

Job Description

Planet Pharma is working with a global pharmaceutical company focused on innovative healthcare solutions. They develop and market prescription drugs, emphasizing cutting-edge science to address unmet medical needs across various therapeutic areas, aiming to improve patient outcomes through research and development.

The Congress Program Manager supports the strategic leadership for congresses within the global Congresses and Events team. The role covers all in-person, hybrid, and virtual congresses, including regional (e.g., ESMO) and globally significant events (e.g., ASCO). Responsibilities include managing specific brand teams and supporting other brands as needed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of all global congresses (in-person, virtual, hybrid) for specific brands or regions.
  • Support other Managers in Congress Strategy and Engagement under the guidance of the Global Congress Strategy Lead.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with global brand strategy and objectives.
  • Build external relationships with Healthcare Organizations to embed event strategies externally and maximize opportunities.
  • Collaborate with brand teams to leverage congresses as strategic channels linked to overall brand plans.
  • View congresses as strategic channels with a 'before, during, and after' experience, integrating various channels and experiences.
  • Drive continuous improvement by gathering insights and feedback to enhance future congresses and processes.
  • Implement new approaches and influence Brand Teams to adopt innovative formats supporting the congress strategy.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in a tradeshow environment (corporate or third-party agency).
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working with Legal, Medical, Regulatory (LMR) teams, understanding compliance requirements by geography.
  • International events management or marketing experience within a pharmaceutical context.
