We are seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join our dynamic Risk Team in Sheffield.

About the Role
  • Validate and vet information on the Conflicts Request Form, using search engines and other resources; liaising with fee earners for clarification as needed.
  • Analyze and interpret complex search results from conflict systems and other sources to identify potential conflicts of interest.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with fee earners to highlight or identify conflicts across all practice areas.
  • Escalate complex conflict situations to the Conflicts Manager.
  • Conduct additional research using internal and external resources.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining information barriers using Security Policy Manager.
  • Develop knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to Risk and Compliance.
  • Contribute to ongoing education about conflicts processes and policies within the firm.
  • Provide assistance and cover for the Conflicts Manager and team members as needed.
  • Handle other ad hoc projects related to New Business Intake and conflicts processes.
About You

We invest in your ongoing training and development to support your goals. To be considered, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educated to degree level, preferably with experience in a professional services environment for at least a year, though candidates with different experience demonstrating the required competencies are welcome.
  • Basic knowledge of SRA rules (rules 6.1-6.5), understanding solicitor duties regarding conflicts, confidentiality, and disclosure.
  • Keen interest in understanding the business and analytical thinking; exposure to legal practices involving various transactions.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a 'can do' approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy under pressure.
  • Adaptability to new processes and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with all levels of staff.
  • Discretion to handle confidential information.
  • Computer literacy.
