Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (UK) LLP is currently looking for a junior Conflicts Analyst to join the firm's team in London. This position is a full-time permanent role, providing an opportunity for professional growth within a leading legal firm that serves technology and life sciences enterprises globally.

Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, International Risk & Compliance, and working with other colleagues both in London and the New Business & Conflicts team in the US, the Conflicts Analyst independently reports on potential conflicts of interest relating to client and matter intake as well as new attorney and staff hiring where required.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform conflict of interest searches for new clients and new matters
  • Research corporate information
  • Create new client and matters and update client information in our accounting database
  • Communicate with various stakeholders within the firm to obtain requisite information to process new clients and matters
  • Assist with other duties related to the resolution and clearance of new business and conflicts issues as assigned


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • At least one year of relevant Conflicts experience, ideally at a US-headquartered law firm preferred, although would consider exceptional candidates demonstrating willingness and commitment to be trained and a passion for this area
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent decision-making skills and demonstrated ability to think on your feet
  • Excellent people skills and possess the ability to work in a team oriented and collaborative environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and proficiencies
  • Comfortable working with attorneys and other legal staff
  • Comfortable in a high demand, fast paced environment
  • Able to exercise independent judgment
  • Able to work efficiently and independently with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Able to work overtime as necessary
