Job summary

Hirecracker is representing an established organisation in the UK defence sector, seeking an experienced Confined Space Authorised Person Coordinator in Portsmouth. The role oversees and coordinates AP activities across contracts, ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with JSP375 and Safe Systems of Work.

You will provide technical guidance to other APs, manage permit-to-work procedures, support internal and external audits, and maintain accurate compliance documentation and competency

Qualifications

Authorised Person qualification required.
Knowledge of JSP375 or MOD environments advantageous.
Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Coordinate Confined Space Authorised Person activities across operational contracts.
Provide technical guidance and support to other APs.
Ensure compliance with JSP375, permit-to-work procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
Collaborate with management to coordinate AP coverage and resource planning.
Support internal and external audits and maintain documentation.
Monitor AP qualifications, training requirements and certifications.
Identify safety improvements and promote health and safety culture.
