As a Configuration Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier IT solutions to our hospitality and retail clients. We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced technician with a strong background in bespoke IT deployments.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Configuring & testing a range of IT hardware, including tablets, laptops, kiosks, tills, customer order displays, switches, routers, and servers.
  2. Leading Build Teams, ensuring top-quality output and accurate reporting.
  3. Advanced Troubleshooting & Diagnostics for complex IT systems.
  4. Optimising Build Processes, implementing solutions, and maintaining technical documentation.
  5. Collaborating with Project Teams & Clients, effectively communicating technical challenges and solutions.
  6. Managing Your Workload efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  7. Conducting Quality Control Checks to maintain the highest standards.
  8. Occasional On-Site Installations, setting up and configuring EPOS systems at client locations.
  9. Supporting Internal IT Infrastructure, including network management and cabinet maintenance.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Hands-on exposure to networking, hardware, and software deployments.
  2. Relevant Qualifications: MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) or a degree in a computer-related field or COMPTIA+ / CCNA.
  3. Networking Expertise: Experience configuring servers, switches, patching, and comms cabinets.
  4. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical information clearly to both internal teams and clients.
  5. Leadership & Ownership: Confident in motivating teams and taking responsibility for technical challenges.
  6. Virtualisation Knowledge: Experience with VMware or Virtual Machines.
  7. Physical Adaptability: Comfortable handling hardware installations and configurations.
  8. OS Expertise: Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments.
  9. Programming & Scripting: Familiarity with C#, Python, and HTML is a plus!
  10. Attention to Detail: Capable of maintaining accuracy while performing repetitive tasks.
  11. EPOS Experience: Experience working with Electronic Point of Sales systems is advantageous.
  12. Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
