About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering critical works for major UK and European projects. Our embedded teams support Hinkley Point C (a new build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), develop SMR (Small Modular Reactor) technologies, and contribute to Poland's first nuclear power station.

In both client-facing and internal roles, we deliver major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. Our goal is to deliver safe, high-quality, and timely solutions through innovation and collaboration.

Amentum is currently recruiting a Configuration Engineer responsible for maintaining contract configurations in compliance with project requirements. Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing and controlling the evolution of contract and design changes.
2. Collaborating with R&D and client teams to ensure equipment integration with interfacing systems.
3. Leading technical meetings, surveillance, and issue resolution.
4. Reviewing and approving designs as necessary.
5. Assessing non-conformances, exemptions, open points, and design changes.
6. Reviewing and approving contract amendments and exemptions (CTSs, ERs).
7. Communicating progress, risks, issues, and planning updates with R&D and client management teams.
8. Supporting contract delivery and KPI reporting to the Contract Engineering Lead (CEL).

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific Discipline.
• Understanding of EPR or general PWR design.
• Knowledge of equipment interfaces (safety case, systems engineering, CDM).
• Experience in contract management and document surveillance is preferred.
