Configuration Controller

A market leader in advanced radar and surveillance technologies is seeking a Configuration Controller to join their dynamic UK operations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team delivering cutting-edge solutions across naval, commercial, coastal, and land-based sectors.

You'll be the key figure in managing the release and change control of technical data within the business's ERP system. Your role will be critical in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of engineering part structures, documentation, and configuration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer daily release and change control for technical data in the ERP system.
• Manage engineering part structures, bills of materials, drawings, documents, software, and deviations.
• Maintain and develop the Configuration Management process and procedures.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for ERP-related configuration queries.
• Create and maintain project configuration plans and bid submission documentation.
• Provide training and guidance on configuration processes and ERP use.
• Support design reviews, software release meetings, and system upgrade projects.
• Maintain compliance with quality and certification standards, including ISO and MED Module D.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in configuration management within a defence, MoD, or similar high-integrity environment.
• Strong technical understanding of part structures, BoMs, and engineering data.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as IFS Cloud Applications 11 or SAP.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards (auditor experience beneficial).

Qualifications:

• Relevant configuration management or QMS certification, or equivalent experience.
