A defense solutions provider is seeking a Configuration Co-Ordinator for their Barnstaple office to manage administrative tasks for the Configuration Management Department. The role requires strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft tools. Overview

About The Role

Providing administrative support for the newly formed Configuration Management Department, acting as gatekeeper to tasks submitted via the Product Lifecycle Management system liaising with originators, ensuring all required information is entered correctly. Configuration Co-Ordinator will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 3-4 days a week. The salary for this role is circa £30k, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for the newly formed CM department
  • Act as gatekeeper to all tasks submitted to Configuration Management
  • Deputise for the Configuration Engineers where required
  • Provide a Status Accounting & Reporting service of active CM tasks to the business to ISO10007
  • Provide help & guidance to users on CM process
  • Support Continuous Improvement

The skills you need
  • Previous experience of Configuration Management or a relevant discipline is advantageous
  • Methodical approach with strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate & proficient in the use of the Microsoft toolset
  • CM2 accreditation or qualification in a relevant discipline is advantageous
  • Previous experience of PLM & ERP systems is advantageous however full training can be provided
  • Previous experience of working within the defence sector would be desirable
