About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (new build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small Modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first nuclear power station.

The Configuration Audit Team is responsible for ensuring the as-built information reflects the site compliant design of the HPC project and that items of work are completed end to end. It assists with progressing aspects such as consistent design compliant to a set of agreed requirements and consistently implemented in the physical installation (also known as the "as build" configuration).

This role requires high levels of technical and organisational skills along with the ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

The main scope for the role includes:

  • Being the preferred point of contact within HPC regarding configuration audit processes, particularly for Engineering Managers and Design Entities
  • Supporting the creation of the Audit Strategy, drafting the ways of working and processes required for configuration audits
  • Coordinating and controlling Configuration Audit activities according to the Plant Configuration Audit, including resolution of audit actions, non-conformances, and audit reporting to verify compliance with standards by examining contractor configuration documentation and control systems
  • Controlling, supporting, steering, and monitoring end-to-end configuration audit activities
  • Authoring Audit Reports in accordance with the Configuration Audit Plan
  • Supporting the development of the audit strategy, ways of working, and processes for configuration audit

Qualifications required include:

  • A degree in a relevant science or engineering field or a strong technical background
  • ICM CM2 certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience within the nuclear industry
  • Experience in controlling engineering documentation such as redline drawings, work pack management, as-built information, design requirements, execution design, system and sub-system design documentation, factory acceptance documentation
  • Understanding of quality arrangements and equipment engineering requirements related to nuclear plant construction
  • Knowledge of design processes, change management, configuration auditing, and related industry standards
