Job description

Job Description: The Configuration Analyst is responsible for the configuration of People System applications. Working closely with the People Tech Partner on the Product lifecycle ensuring that changes and configurations are planned and adhere to the Configuration Governance principles. All People Function Systems are in scope.

Key Responsibilities
  1. System Configuration: Configure People Tech updates, changes or releases in test environment.
  2. Testing: Work closely with People Tech Partner to ensure requirements are understood and first line testing is done.
  3. Data Management: Work closely with the Data Analyst and Data Architect to implement measures in the system to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the systems.
  4. User Support: Provide technical level 3 support and training to Digital Services staff and other system users as required.
  5. Report Generation: Develop and generate reports to support HR decision-making and compliance requirements.
  6. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to HR processes through system enhancements and automation.
  7. Vendor Management: Support liaising with HRIS vendors to troubleshoot issues, manage updates, and ensure optimal system performance.
  8. Compliance and Security: Ensure the system complies with relevant laws and regulations, such as data protection and privacy standards.
Skills & Competencies
  1. Strong understanding of IT systems, databases, and programming languages relevant to the specific environment they are working in.
  2. Ability to analyze complex systems and data to identify issues, opportunities for improvement, and effective solutions.
  3. Capable of devising innovative solutions to technical and business challenges.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Understanding of business processes and operations to align IT solutions with organizational goals.
  6. Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships across the organization.
  7. Meticulous attention to ensure accuracy in analyses, documentation, and system configurations.
  8. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and changing business environments.
  9. Capacity to evaluate information and arguments critically to make reasoned judgments and decisions.
