Job description

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (DOE)
Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, with flexibility as needed
Hybrid role – minimum of 3 days on-site

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Oversee the sales and operations of delivered catering, events, and conferences across Harwell Campus venues
  2. Implement engaging and profitable public-facing events
  3. Identify sales growth opportunities and collaborate with the team to drive success
  4. Motivate and lead the team to achieve revenue targets and provide regular progress feedback
  5. Take a hands-on approach to food & beverage operations when required
  6. Attend weekly sales meetings to support, strategize, and inspire success
  7. Lead weekly function sheet meetings, addressing challenges and opportunities
  8. Bring a proactive, innovative approach to stay ahead of competitors
  9. Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and cost control to meet profit targets
  10. Analyze and report on P&L performance to the Contract Director monthly

Who you are:

  1. 3+ years' experience in Conference & Events sales, operations, and revenue management
  2. Strong proposal writing and attention to detail
  3. Ambitious, proactive, and a natural networker
  4. Proven track record in driving revenue growth and achieving KPIs
  5. Experience with CRM systems & Microsoft 365
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Confident in venue tours, customer appointments, and proactive outreach
  8. A self-starter with initiative, drive, and decision-making confidence
