Conference and Events Duty Manager - Kia Oval | Full-Time / Permanent
£32,500 + excellent benefits including healthcare, wellbeing support, 23 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, meals on duty, and more.

We are seeking a confident and organized Conference and Events Duty Manager to join our collaborative team at Kia Oval - the iconic home of Surrey County Cricket Club and one of the best conference venues in London!

In this fast-paced role, you will oversee the smooth running of all conference and events catering, hospitality, and bar operations, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail across match day and non-match day conferences and events.

Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of all Conference and Events operations, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team and create a welcoming environment for clients and guests.
  • Partner with the Culinary team to maintain outstanding food presentation and service standards.
  • Lead weekly function sheet meetings to align internal teams on event plans.
  • Manage and train the Events Team, including producing staff rotas with the Head of Conference and Events.
  • Coordinate with the Kia Oval reception team for event signage, paperwork, and administrative materials.
  • Monitor till operations, oversee bar closures, and ensure secure handling of cash and stock.
  • Oversee catering setups, working with the hospitality logistics team to meet function sheets and SOPs.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure all catering equipment is operational, arranging repairs or replacements as needed.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience in conference, events, or hospitality management.
  • A passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to inspire and lead a dedicated team.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in developing client relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and match days.
