We have an exciting opportunity to join our Meeting and Events sales team here at The Met Hotel, Leeds. As a Conference and Events Coordinator, you will thrive on delivering great customer service and will go the extra mile to exceed our guests’ expectations.

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Cluster Head of Reservations, Groups, Meeting and Events Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following.

  • Handling incoming Conference and Event enquiries from initial enquiry to post event follow up.
  • Conducting show rounds and tours for prospective clients, showcasing and selling our beautiful hotel and meeting spaces.
  • Liaising with clients, to understand their requirements, and ensure they have the best possible experience in the run up to their event.
  • Using a keen eye for detail to ensure all event details are translated to the system and handed over to the Operations Team ensuring the smooth running of the event.
  • Exceeding customers’ expectations and being motivated to continually develop service levels.
  • Answering any questions, via email and phone, to ensure that all queries are dealt within an efficient and effective manner.
  • Obtain client feedback and make appropriate changes for improvements.
  • Driving sales activities through strategic planning and client engagement.

To succeed in the role of Conferencing and Events Coordinator you will need the following qualities and skills.

  • Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Be willing to learn and show that they care.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • You will be able to remain calm under pressure with excellent telephone manner with the ability to multitask

We are looking for someone who can communicate well with others, can carry out instructions, is able to pay close attention to detail and will commit to providing outstanding service to our guests.

Previous experience within a similar role is preferable but full training is provided.
