The Elvetham is seeking a proactive Conference and Banqueting Associate to ensure flawless event delivery at this historic Hampshire country house. You will set up spaces, assist in food and beverage service, and deliver outstanding guest experiences during conferences and banquets.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
• Experience in conference and banqueting environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event spaces according to client needs and hotel standards.
• Assist with food and beverage service during conferences, banquets, and events.
• Maintain well-presented service areas and assist with guest needs during events.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene regulations are followed throughout service.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth operations.
• Support other event duties as required by the banqueting team.

The Elvetham Hotel is an elegant country house hotel in Hampshire, rich in history and set in 35 acres of beautiful gardens. The hotel is one of the most historic sites in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family. The site can be traced back to as early as the 800's AD. Today the Estate consists of 91 bedrooms shared between the Main House and The Stables, as well as four unique and flexible function rooms.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-orientated, and service-driven Conference and Banqueting Associate to support the successful delivery of high-quality events. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up event spaces, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience during conferences, meetings, and banquets.

Your role

As a Conference and Banqueting Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring event spaces are prepared to the highest standard, supporting food and beverage service, and assisting in all aspects of event service.

Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To

• Setting up and breaking down event spaces according to client needs and hotel standards.
• Assisting with food and beverage service during conferences, banquets, and special events.
• Ensuring tables, buffets, and service areas are well-presented and maintained throughout events.
• Providing attentive and friendly service to guests, responding to their needs effeciently.
• Coordinating with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service.
• Clearing tables and resetting spaces for upcoming functions.
• Upholding health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all food and beverage handling.
• Assisting with any additional event duties as required by the banqueting team.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.

The Core Skills And Experience Required To Succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry
• Previous conference and banqueting experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
