Job summary

The Elvetham Hotel in Hook, Hampshire is seeking a proactive Conference and Banqueting Associate to help deliver high-quality events. You will set up event spaces, assist with food and beverage service, and ensure an exceptional guest experience during conferences, meetings and banquets.

Qualifications

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry.
• Previous conference and banqueting experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and breaking down event spaces according to client needs and hotel standards.
• Assisting with food and beverage service during conferences, banquets, and special events.
• Ensuring tables, buffets, and service areas are well-presented and maintained throughout events.
• Providing attentive and friendly service to guests, responding to their needs efficiently.
• Coordinating with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service.
• Clearing tables and resetting spaces for upcoming functions.
• Upholding health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all food and beverage handling.
• Assisting with any additional event duties as required by the banqueting team.

The Elvetham Hotel is an elegant country house hotel in Hampshire, rich in history and set in 35 acres of beautiful gardens. The hotel is one of the most historic sites in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family. The site can be traced back to as early as the 800's AD. Today the Estate consists of 91 bedrooms shared between the Main House and The Stables, as well as four unique and flexible function rooms.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-orientated, and service-drivenConference and Banqueting Associateto support the successful delivery of high-quality events. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up event spaces, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience during conferences, meetings, and banquets.

Your role

As a Conference and Banqueting Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring event spaces are prepared to the highest standard, supporting food and beverage service, and assisting in all aspects of event service.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
