We’re seeking a dedicated Confectionery Team Leader to join our team at the Leyton location. As a Confectionery Team Leader for the night shift, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery during night hours. You will lead by example, overseeing production, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive working environment.

Package:

· Up to £39k per annum

· A flexible work environment

Key Responsibilities:

·Lead and managed the night shift operations according to production schedules.

·Ensure adherence to strict food safety and quality standards.

·Supervise and support bakery team members, delegating tasks effectively.

·Develop and maintain staff rotas, ensuring adequate coverage.

·Provide training and guidance to team members.

·Prepare daily reports covering safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and personnel matters.

About you:

·Qualifications: Minimum Food Safety Level 2 certification (Level 3 preferred). Formal confectionery/pastry qualifications are advantageous.

·Experience: 3+ years of experience in a confectionery environment, with a focus on artisan or craft products. Supervisory experience is preferred.

·Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and provide clear direction. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

·Knowledge: In-depth understanding of artisan baking techniques, ingredients, and quality standards.

·Communication skills: able to lead by example, remain calm under pressure, and demonstrate accountability. Must be adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving environment and promote a positive, inclusive team culture.

This is a full-time position requiring night and weekend availability, totalling 44 hours across 4 days out of 7.
