Job Description:

Here at The Mick George Group, we are looking for a Transport Co-Ordinator to join the Concrete team.

Job Overview:

Deliver Mick George Concrete products to sites, promoting the company's image by ensuring high standards of customer service and perception.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all drivers have the correct PPE issued and maintained.
  • Ensure all vehicles are not knowingly overloaded.
  • Ensure drivers carry out daily vehicle checks, record defects, and report major defects immediately.
  • Ensure conveyance notes are completed accurately, including times, signatures, and other required details.
  • Follow working time directives for the fleet.
  • Maintain truck mixer fleet cleanliness and good working order.
  • Record fuel usage and submit receipts to the transport department, ensuring correct use of fuel cards.
  • Answer telephone calls professionally and courteously when required.
  • Accurately detail customer requirements and communicate with relevant departments.
  • Comply with the Quality Assurance Manual and health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Communicate with customers regarding expectations, ETAs, and delays.
  • Take and book orders, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills.
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Ability to work under instruction and use own initiative.
  • Previous experience in construction, aggregates, or waste industries is advantageous but not essential.
  • Driven and proactive attitude.
