Job Description - Computing Teacher - Secondary School - Streatham

The successful Computing Teacher will be responsible for providing a friendly, stimulating, and inclusive environment in which every student can develop academically, socially, and personally.

The Computing Teacher is responsible for their students' academic progress in the subject and must:

  1. Ensure that students are taught in line with the most up-to-date examination specifications.
  2. Adhere to the departmental schemes of work.
  3. Keep records of students' attendance in lessons via SIMS.
  4. Follow the guidelines for high-quality teaching as defined in the Staff Handbook.
  5. Set, mark, and assess work as stated in the staff handbook.
  6. Use resources effectively; check student files; provide learning support; utilise ICT; follow health and safety procedures.
  7. Manage the classroom as per the school's classroom management and behaviour policy.
  8. Attend in-service training and classroom observation plus feedback sessions as requested by the Head of Department.
