Cirrus Selection Limited is seeking a Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence Engineer to research, develop and evaluate advanced algorithms used in high‑performance engineering systems in Bristol. You will join a specialist image processing team applying AI and ML to challenging problems.

You will work with MATLAB, Simulink and Python, including PyTorch, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to turn research into practical engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree with strong mathematical content (Maths, Physics, Engineering or CS).
• PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience would be advantageous.
• Genuine interest in advanced algorithms, AI and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge in computer vision, image processing, ML, deep learning or signal processing.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink or Python would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Researching, developing and evaluating image processing and computer vision algorithms.
• Applying AI and deep learning techniques to complex technical challenges.
• Developing solutions for image segmentation, object detection, tracking and classification.
• Exploring techniques such as optical flow, pose estimation, particle filtering and computational imaging.
• Working with MATLAB, Simulink and Python, including PyTorch.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and evaluate new technologies.

Salary: Up to 58,000 depending on experience

We are recruiting for a Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence Engineer to research, develop and evaluate advanced algorithms used in complex, high-performance engineering systems.

You will join a specialist image processing team, working on cutting-edge technologies that combine imaging, computer vision, machine learning and signal processing. Your work will help shape technical solutions, influence design decisions and turn innovative research into practical engineering applications.

What you will be doing
