Job summary

Cirrus Selection Limited is seeking a Computer Vision and AI Engineer to research, develop and evaluate advanced algorithms for high-performance engineering systems in Bristol. You will join a specialist image processing team, applying AI, ML and signal processing to real-world engineering challenges.

The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers, using MATLAB, Simulink and Python (including PyTorch) to deliver practical solutions and shape design decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree with strong mathematical content in STEM.
• PhD in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
• Genuine interest in advanced algorithms, AI and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of computer vision, image processing, ML, DL or signal processing.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink or Python would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Researching, developing and evaluating image processing and computer vision algorithms.
• Applying AI and deep learning techniques to complex technical challenges.
• Developing solutions for image segmentation, object detection, tracking and classification.
• Exploring techniques such as optical flow, pose estimation, particle filtering and computational imaging.

Salary: Up to £58,000 depending on experience

We are recruiting for a Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence Engineer to research, develop and evaluate advanced algorithms used in complex, high-performance engineering systems.

You will join a specialist image processing team, working on cutting-edge technologies that combine imaging, computer vision, machine learning and signal processing. Your work will help shape technical solutions, influence design decisions and turn innovative research into practical engineering applications.

What you will be doing

• Researching, developing and evaluating image processing and computer vision algorithms.

• Knowledge of one or more relevant areas, including computer vision, image processing, machine learning, deep learning or signal processing.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink or Python would be beneficial.
