Computer Science Teacher - Nuneaton - ASAP

Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a full-time qualified, knowledgeable and ambitious Teacher to teach Computer Science in a vibrant Secondary School in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This exciting new long-term role is to start ASAP teaching KS3/KS4 pupils (KS5 is desirable).

We welcome applications from driven and dependable Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils' well-being following statutory provisions.
  2. Plan and deliver a broad, balanced and relevant Computer Science curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students in line with the National Curriculum.
  3. Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Form Tutor.
  4. Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and achievement in Computer Science and monitor and support student progress.
  5. Track student progress using school systems and use information to inform teaching and learning.
  6. Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school's behaviour policy.
  7. Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues.
  8. Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils' achievements and well-being.
Must have:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. Right to work in the UK.
  3. Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years.
  4. Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce) on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process).
  5. Experience teaching within an educational setting or similar.
  6. Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  7. Excellent subject knowledge of Computer Science, IT and Computing.
  8. Read the DfE 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' (2024) document.
  9. Excellent classroom management.
  10. Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills.
