Duties as a Computer Science Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Teach programming, algorithms, data representation, cyber security, and emerging technologies in an accessible and creative way.

• Support the development of students’ problem-solving, logical reasoning, and digital literacy skills.

• Track and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support development.

• Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of computing schemes of work and resources.

• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence.

• Participate in school activities and enrichment opportunities such as coding clubs, competitions, and STEM events.

Ideal Computer Science Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• A strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or HTML/CSS.

• Experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting.

• A creative and adaptable approach to delivering the curriculum.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Computer Science Teacher.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
