Job description

Academics are actively recruiting for a Computer Science teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, starting in September 2025!

The role will be based at one of our reputable schools in the centre of Wakefield. Recent Ofsted reports describe the school as "a well-led school" with an overall rating of "good".

The school has been praised for the level of support provided to students, especially those with special education needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging lessons with high levels of knowledge in Computer Science.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to the curriculum development.
  • Track students' progress and support their academic aspirations.
Requirements:
  • Valid right to work in the UK.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree relevant to Computer Science/ICT.
  • DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
