£31,650 - £43,606 per annum

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement for this position is a suitable qualification to teach Computer Science i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS

The School and Role

ABC Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science Supply Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Solihull on a long-term basis. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone who is committed to inspiring young minds and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in Computer Science. Located in the heart of Solihull, this large and inclusive secondary school is known for its high academic standards, strong leadership, and excellent student behaviour. The school places a strong emphasis on digital literacy and innovation, making it an ideal setting for a Computer Science specialist who is eager to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Plan, prepare and assess pupils work in line with curriculum objectives.

  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policy.

  • Collaborate with the wider ICT/Computing department and contribute to school life.

Requirements

The successful Computer Science Teacher will have;

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

  • Experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting.

  • Strong classroom management skills.

  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
