£31,650 - £43,606 per annum

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement for this position is a suitable qualification to teach Computer Science i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS

The School and Role

ABC Teachers is currently recruiting for a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Science Supply Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Solihull from September 2025. This is a long-term, full-time position, with pay in line with the M1 M6 pay scales. Located in the heart of Solihull, this well-regarded secondary school is known for its high academic standards, inclusive ethos, and strong emphasis on digital literacy and innovation. Staff benefit from a collaborative working environment, regular CPD opportunities, and a clear behaviour policy that supports effective teaching and learning.

The role:

  • Teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Computer Science

  • Full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking, and assessment

  • Long-term role beginning September 2025, with potential to become permanent

  • Supportive leadership team and excellent departmental resources

Requirements

The successful Computer Science Teacher will have;

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent

  • Have recent experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level

  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to student progress

  • Be confident managing classroom behaviour and engaging a range of learners

  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
