Job Opportunity: Computer Science Teacher

Are you a newly qualified Computer Science Teacher seeking a role to commence your induction? Or an experienced Computer Science Teacher looking for a new challenge where you can pass on your subject wisdom? Academics Ltd is working with an Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" school based in West London, seeking a computer science teacher to start in October 2024.

The Role

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Implementing and delivering a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students and supporting a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  2. Monitoring and supporting the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor.
  3. Facilitating and encouraging a learning experience that allows students to achieve their potential.
  4. Contributing to raising standards of student attainment.
  5. Sharing and supporting the academy's responsibility to provide opportunities for personal and academic growth.
  6. Curriculum planning.
Candidate Requirements
  • Hold QTS and a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Have successful teaching experience at the secondary level, ideally including experience in multi-ethnic urban schools.
  • Have knowledge of national curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4, including writing lesson plans, developing resources, and assessing students' work.
  • Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
