Job Title: Computer Science Teacher

Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Mid Devon starting in September.

The successful candidate will be passionate about digital learning and confident in delivering engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role is ideal for someone who wants to inspire students to develop their computing skills and explore the possibilities of technology in today s world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Teach coding, digital literacy, and computational thinking across a range of student abilities.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and wider departmental activities.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Have experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).

  • Be creative, organised, and committed to student achievement.

  • Have strong knowledge of programming languages and digital platforms.

  • Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and all required safeguarding procedures.
