Job summary

The Teaching Executives Ltd is currently recruiting a Computer Science teacher to deliver GCSE, A Level and BTEC Level 2 to KS4/KS5 students in a UK school.

The successful candidate will plan, deliver and assess lessons, provide constructive feedback and work closely with colleagues, parents and the department to raise attainment and share best practice.

Qualifications

  • PGCE or Bachelor of Education required, or international equivalent.
  • Up-to-date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent subject knowledge in Computer Science.
  • Strong knowledge of the British Curriculum.
  • Ability to plan, deliver and assess lessons.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and mark Computer Science lessons for KS4/KS5.
  • Provide constructive written and verbal feedback.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments to track progress.
  • Attend departmental meetings and liaise with parents.
  • Lead extracurricular enrichment activities.

Job description

We are currently working with a School who are looking to appoint a teacher of Computer Science who can teach KS4/KS5 students. The role involves teaching GCSE, A Level and BTEC Level 2.

Responsibilities
  • Planning, delivering and marking lessons.
  • Giving constructive and guided feedback to students both written and verbally
  • Summative and formative assessment, guide progress through marking and feedback
  • Attending departmental meetings and communicating effectively with parents.
  • Encouraged to share best practice within and beyond the department
  • Lead extracurricular enrichment activities to extend learning beyond the classroom
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Successful candidates should hold a PGCE with a relevant bachelor's degree, a Bachelor of Education or the international equivalent.
  • Hold an up-to-date DBS certificate
  • Possess an excellent subject knowledge
  • Have excellent knowledge of the British Curriculum
  • Maintain exceptional classroom practice
  • Work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues

Payment scale advertised is based upon the teacher pay scale from M1 to M6. Actual pay is based upon relevant teaching experience
