Job description

Job Title: Computer Science/Business Studies Teacher Location: Rochdale, Lancashire We are seeking a passionate and skilled Computer Science or Business Studies Teacher to join our dynamic team at a progressive educational institution in Rochdale, Lancashire. This is an exceptional opportunity for an educator who is dedicated to inspiring students and equipping them with the knowledge and skills essential in these technological and entrepreneurial fields. Job Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in Computer Science or Business Studies up to and including GCSE level, in accordance with the National Curriculum. - Utilise state-of-the-art facilities that have been recently upgraded for the new academic year to enhance the learning experience. - Assess, monitor, and report on the attendance, progress, and development of students, providing feedback that can fortify their learning journey. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes that reflect best practices and innovation in teaching. - Support and guide students with various learning needs, ensuring an inclusive educational environment. - Engage with parents/guardians to foster a partnership that supports the academic and personal development of each student. - Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events. - Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and participate in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice. Key Requirements: - Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. - Possess a current DBS on the update service. - Specialize in teaching either Computer Science or Business Studies. - Have at least 12 months of UK-based teaching experience, inclusive of placements. Early Career Teachers (ECT) are welcome to apply. - Demonstrated experience of teaching up to and including GCSE level. - Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Contract and Pay: - This is a full-time position, with working hours from 8:15 am to 4:00 pm. - Salary starts from £180 per day, depending on experience.
