Overview

This amazing contract role for a 5-Axis CNC Machinist is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and skills with a world leading Formula 1 business in Northamptonshire.

The person that secures this position will be crucial to the success of this dynamic company on its F1 projects. You will be a key member within the team and will be responsible for the setting and operating of 5 Axis Machining Centres using Fanuc software to manufacture precision Formula 1 components. Any programming experience would be an added advantage. This role requires a great deal of attention to detail, it will be working on small complex F1 components. Ideally you will come with a time served engineering apprenticeship, and proven experience of manufacturing precision parts across a variety of different materials including Inconel, Titanium, Aluminium and Stainless Steel.

The required shifts on this role is the weekend night shift. Please note this position is based in Brixworth from Friday to Sunday, 6pm - 6am.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate 5 Axis Machining Centres using Fanuc software to manufacture precision Formula 1 components. Work on small, complex components with high attention to detail. Collaborate with the team on ongoing F1 projects. Apply experience with various materials as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Time served engineering apprenticeship (preferred)
• Proven experience manufacturing precision parts across materials including Inconel, Titanium, Aluminium and Stainless Steel
• Experience with 5-axis CNC machining; setting and operating
• Any programming experience is advantageous
• Willing to work weekend night shift (Friday–Sunday, 6pm–6am)
