Service Care Solutions are looking for a Computer Lecturer to work within The Manchester College on a contract basis.

Location: Manchester

Job role/responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Computing Teacher who possesses a passion for teaching, a drive to inspire, and the enthusiasm to support students in achieving their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to a wide range of learning styles and abilities. You will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure that every student is supported and encouraged to achieve their academic milestones.

  • Develop and deliver high-quality computing lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all students can achieve their potential.
  • Incorporate the latest technologies and teaching methodologies to enhance student learning.
  • Monitor, assess, and provide feedback on student progress to help them achieve their academic milestones.
  • Work collaboratively with support teams, including teaching assistants and special educational needs coordinators, to ensure every student receives the necessary support.
  • Provide additional support and tutoring where needed to help students excel.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the computing curriculum to keep it current and relevant.
  • Participate in department meetings and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with trends in computing education and technology.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive and collaborative learning environment.
  • Provide clear and timely communication regarding student progress, classroom activities, and curriculum updates.

Knowledge/Experience required:

  • Proven experience in teaching computing.
  • Experience in delivering lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Experience working with support teams to provide tailored support to students.
