  • Stable Role: Enjoy a permanent, full-time position within a company that offers job security and long-term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 3D Design & Drawings: Update and enhance existing 3D designs and 2D drawings in SOLIDWORKS, ensuring high-quality and accurate designs.
  • New Projects: Work on exciting new projects, producing concept and approval drawings for customers.

  • Supplier Liaison: Communicate with suppliers to assess the suitability and procurement of components, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Laser Cut Drawing Files: Produce steel and stainless steel laser-cut drawing files (.dwg), ensuring revision control on existing files.
  • Quotations & Stock Control: Compile lists of laser-cut files for quotation, check accuracy of quotations, and update the stock control system accordingly.
  • BOM Management: Input and update design Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the manufacturing and stock system (inFlow).
  • Technical Files & Manuals: Produce and compile technical files for both new and existing machines, and create or update instruction manuals.
  • Datasheets: Develop technical datasheets for the sales department to aid in customer-facing documents.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS: Strong experience in using SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software for design, modelling, and drawing updates.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in both design work and data entry.
  • Multitasker: The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
  • Team Player: Comfortable working within a small, collaborative team, but also able to work independently when required.
  • Organised & Efficient: Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers, the design team, and other departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Essential: Highly proficient in the use of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software and familiar with general engineering principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Motivated: A keen desire to expand and further develop your engineering knowledge and skills.
  • Educational Background: Ideally, you will have a college or university-level education in CAD, Design, or Engineering, but this is not mandatory if you have relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM): Familiarity with PDM systems and revision control for managing design documents.
  • Stock Management Systems: Experience with stock management systems (e.g., inFlow) is a plus.

Why Join Our Client?
